Bill's career started as an assistant at Canyon Meadows, he was a member of the Glencoe's first ever professional staff was Head Golf Professional at the Turner Valley Golf Club for two seasons and then completed his career as a Club Professional being The Head Professional at the Silver Springs Golf and Country Club from 1992 - 2004.

Bill has always been recognized as a strong teacher and was hired at Silver Springs with a mandate to develop and deliver industry leading teaching and junior programs. Club members Wes Heffernan and Nicole Zhang have made US Open appearances while other products of the Silver Springs Junior program who worked with Bill combined for 3 National Championships as well as multiple City and Provincial wins.

10 Assistant Professionals who worked under Bill went on to become PGA of Canada Head Professionals. Bill developed a model in the mid 1980's that was at one time used by the CPGA as a guideline for teaching assistant professionals to teach.

Bill completed the PGA of America program on teaching elite players and Bills swing preferences and principles from his professional teaching manual were used to develop the adult lesson outline and handbook currently used by The Golf Canada Centre.

Brian Kollman

PGA of Canada Class A Teaching Professional

Brian is from Hanna, Alberta and joined the PGA of Canada in 1988. He spent his first ten years as an associate professional at the Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club, and in 2002 joined the Golf Canada Centre team. During the last several years as a full-time teacher, Brian has gained a wealth of knowledge and an intense desire to help players better their game.

Brian has an incredibly natural ability to have a steadying and positive influence on his students. He knows the swing in all of its complexities but communicates this with style and ease. Brian has a calm and steady personality that works well with a large variety of people, and adapts well to different learning styles. He enjoys working with all levels of players from beginners to elite players.

Alan Robertson

Alan turned professional and joined the PGA Canada in 1978, following a very good junior amateur career in Victoria, BC. Alan has a great passion for teaching and strives to help others enjoy the game as much as he does. His strengths include focused one-on-one communication, helping each student identifying his or hers challenges and his experience. His instruction style is laid back and fun, while still challenging his students to break through. He coaches students to improve with a game plan and goal in mind. He uses a variety of teaching aids, mirrors, and alignmnet rods to evaluate his students skills.
He has mentored a wide range of students of all different abilities from beginners to elite professionals, juniors to seniors, males and females, right and left handed.
With his 30+ years of experience, he has researched various methods of teaching and is able to adapt his teaching style teach individual student.
Alan works hard to improve his abilities to teach the game of golf and has studied how the mind influences the way the body works in order to enhance your golf game. He shares his vast teaching knowledge with his fellow professionals as well as his students, almost to a fault.

      Jason has a passion for helping young people discover and pursue their potential as high achievers in the sport of golf. He is a strong advocate for helping youth develop their athletic and interpersonal skills as a basis for participating in a sport that champions performance, integrity, and sportsmanship.

      As a parent, he values a safe, well-rounded environment for junior golfers to grow, develop and have fun along the way. 

      Jason Haley has been a PGA of Canada member for 10 years and has been a teaching professional at the Golf Canada Calgary Centre since 2006. Jason primary focus has been developing junior golfers and he has coached the Strive For Excellence Program  for 6 years. Along with 65 other sports, Golf is part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), recognized by Sport Canada . Jason is a fully certified CNC coach; and is currently enrolled in the CDC (coach of developing competitors) program early in the current year. 

      Competitively he has placed well in Alberta PGA, CPGA and AGA events including a 2nd place and 4th place finish in the 2012 and 2010 Alberta PGA Assistants championship.

Jamie Reimer

This is Jamie's 10th year as a PGA of Canada Teaching Professional, and has taught over 10,000 golf lessons. With a desire to rank amongst the elite golf coaches, Jamie has been committed to ongoing education and the adoption of innovative technology and techniques into his teaching strategy. Some of these certifications include working with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and completing the Coaching of New Competitor program with the PGA of Canada.

As a teaching professional, Jamie starts with setting clear and concise goals with his clients and is committed to the achievement of those goals whether they are preparing for competition, diagnosing and correcting a particular challenge, learning the fundamentals, or achieving lower scores. His comprehensive approach incorporates an analysis of physical limitations or weaknesses, swing mechanics, mental aspects, equipment and the development of an individualized strategy.

Jamie is charismatic and engaging and has extensive experience working with competitive golfers. He enjoys working with players of all levels and abilities who have a desire to improve their enjoyment of the game whether they are new to the game or ready to take it to the next level. Jamie is a highly acclaimed junior golf specialist in the area, and helps many junior players reach and exceed their goals!

Jamie uses TrackmanBoditrak, Flightscope as well as V1 Pro High speed video analysis whenever necessary to give his students as much correct information and feedback as possible.

Wes Heffernan 

Heffernan recorded nine professional victories in his 16 years of competition including five Alberta Open titles and four Canadian Tour victories. In 2015, Heffernan played in five Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada events making the cut three times while adding another finish on the Tour.

Heffernan played in two majors - the 2001 and 2011 U.S. Opens,making the cut in 2011.

In his time as an amateur, Heffernan was a two-time Canadian Amateur medalist and an Alberta Amateur Champion.

He also represented Canada internationally on both the professional and amateur level, playing in the 2007 and 2008 World Cup as well as the 2000 World Amateur Team Championship in Berlin, Germany.

A candidate for membership with the PGA of Canada, Heffernan brings years of extensive playing experience to the coaching staff at the Golf Canada Calgary Centre.
